Adaptive 1:1 & Group Exercises

Children and Teens with Autism and Disabilities

No child should be excluded from fitness or martial arts due to a condition or disability. Some children, including those with autism, may struggle with balance, eye contact, focus issues, as well as anxiety. Studies show a correlation between anxiety and balance. This relationship can affect a child's self-esteem, emotion regulation and comfort in social settings requiring physical movement. Not many programs are available to provide fun activities like martial arts and exercises for children who benefit more from one on one attention or an adaptive program to meet their specific needs.

This program focuses on YOUR child's specific needs with targeted exercises. For instance, focusing on balance techniques to stabilize energy and emotions. Identifying potential grip assistance to hold material. Adapting movement for a child to learn how to move whether they walk or use a wheelchair. Each child is different so the complexity of each exercise will vary and may take time to adjust as we identify what works for their body.

It is recommended to do a consultation in-person to meet the child and determine the right program. Reach out for more information below:
